Electricity and water

Up to 10% reduction

in electricity and water consumption

The Sybelles® ski area relies exclusively on green energy sources and has chosen to use new slow-moving equipment that consumes less electricity and to practise eco-driving. This has reduced the estate’s electricity consumption by up to 10%. Thanks to the installation of equipment to better control the supply of water and the production of artificial snow, the Sybelles® ski area has reduced its production of artificial snow by 20%, thereby improving its water consumption by 10 points.

Measured grooming

21% fewer hours

The choice of grooming machines with slow engines, eco-driving and the installation of Scan-sat allow us to collect the snow level on each piste and adapt the grooming as best we can. Result: 21% fewer grooming hours over a season and less fossil fuel consumed.

Responsible accommodation

Staying in our

Responsible accommodation

With the construction of the very first wooden modular building in the mountains at Le Corbier, the Domaine des Sybelles® is investing in sustainable accommodation that is more respectful of the environment and has a long operating life. La Toussuire has joined the France Ingénierie plan for the thermal renovation of 2 buildings dating from the 1960s, providing support to the owners. Lastly, the Sybelles® Hébergement label includes eco-responsible criteria such as the installation of aerators on taps and the use of green energy to power rental accommodation.

Land, wildlife and mountains

of the Tétras lyre

In St Sorlin d’Arves, 3 hectares are dedicated to the Tétras lyre (a type of black grouse) : an area for the protection of its immediate environment has been created in the La Balme sector. And for skiers, there are 4 freeride runs in St Sorlin d’Arves and Le Corbier. Safe and signposted, they are left in their natural state.
